Kundalini Yoga for Mastering the Second Body

Balancing the Bladder and Kidney Meridians

1. Bridge Pose: Sit with your legs out in front of you, then put your feet on the ground in front of your sacrum. Place your hands directly behind your buttocks. Point your fingers at your toes and keep your arms straight. Lift your body parallel to the ground and hold your head in line with your body. Do Breath of Fire for 1-3 minutes. Inhale and apply MB, hold for 10 seconds, exhale and lower your hips down.

2.Sit in easy pose; do Long Deep Breathing for 1 minute and synchronize your light with the vast light of the universe.

3. Spread your legs wide apart, holding your right big toe with your right hand and your left big toe with your left hand. Inhale up to center and exhale down to your left leg, then inhale up to center and exhale down to the middle, then inhale up to center and exhale down to your right leg. Continue this movement with a powerful breath for 1 to 3 minutes.

4. Inhale and powerfully exhale as you pull down to the center holding on to both toes. Hold the stretch and do Breath of Fire for 30 seconds. Inhale, hold your breath and apply MB for as long as you can, then exhale.

5. Sit in easy pose with Long Deep Breathing for 30 seconds as you feel your connection to the Universal Self.

6. Sit in rock pose with your hands on your thighs and begin spine flex for 1-3 minutes, inhaling as you move your lower spine forward and exhaling as you move your spine back.

7. Get on your knees. Inhale, arch your spine back into camel pose and hold on to your heels. Exhale, bend forward and bring your forehead to the ground between your hands with your palms down on the ground in front of your shoulders. Continue to inhale up into camel pose and exhale into baby pose for 1 to 3 minutes.

8. Hold camel pose with Breath of Fire for 1 minute and feel the connection to the Cosmic Self.

9. Sit in celibate pose in between your heels with your legs spread so that your buttocks sit on the ground between your legs. Lean all the way back onto the ground. Lift your arms up 90° to your body with your hands and interlace the fingers. Inhale, then exhale and hold your breath out. Pump your stomach 8 times with your breath locked out. Repeat this breathing pattern for 1-3 minutes.

10. Lie on your back in corpse pose with your palms face-up. Relax for 5 minutes as you allow for a deep sense of connection to the Universe.

11. Inhale and lift your left leg up to 90° with your arms by your sides, then exhale and lower your leg down. Inhale and lift your right leg up to 90°, then exhale and lower your leg down. Continue these alternate leg lifts for 1 to 3 minutes.

12. Raise your left leg up to 90º and hold the position. Keep your head on the floor and do Breath of Fire for 1 minute. Switch legs and hold your right leg up to 90º with Breath of Fire for 1 minute.

13. Modified Maha Mudra: Extend your left leg out and bring your right heel into the groin area. Reach down with both hands and hold your left big toe; straighten your spine so that your head is aligned with your spine. Focus your eyes on your big toe. Inhale, then exhale completely. Suspend your breath for 8 seconds while applying Mulbandh. Inhale, then exhale and hold your breath out with Mulbandh again for 8 seconds. Continue this breathing pattern for 3 minutes. Inhale, switch legs, and repeat this asana with your right leg extended for 3 minutes.

14. Long Deep Relaxation: As you relax, focus on the following affirmation: “I am joyfully connected and humbly cozy with my own soul. I always feel connected to the guidance of my Higher Self and I relate to boundaries with grace and respect.”

Meditation for Mastering the Second Body

Sit in easy pose with your fingers interlaced at your diaphragm and interlace the fingers, your elbows relaxed against your sides. Inhale in 4 segments, mentally projecting the mantra “Sa Ta Na Ma.” Then hold your breath and internally hear the mantra “WAHE GURU wahe guru,” first loud then soft. Pulse the sound internally from loud to soft for a total of 16 times:

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

WAHE GURU wahe guru

Exhale in 4 strokes “Sa Ta Na Ma.” Your eyes are unfocused, looking down to the ground. Continue for 11 to 31 minutes. Follow with deep relaxation.

Comments: It is best to practice this meditation with an observer present or in a group. Breathe through your left nostril if you want to heal yourself and your right nostril if you want to heal others. The benefits of this meditation include conquering sickness, becoming a spiritual healer and perfecting the power of prayer. This meditation will give you mastery of the second body, as it can balance the bladder and kidney meridians and create a deep connection to the True Self.
